DIRECT DOMESTIC TAX

Direct taxation in India is administered by the Central Board of Direct Taxes or the CBDT which is the part of the Department of Revenue in the Ministry of Finance. It also provides inputs and suggestions for policy and planning of the direct taxes in India. Direct Taxes in India is mainly Income Tax which is governed by provisions of Income Tax Act, 1961as amended by Finance Act each year.
